Here are some of those scenarios, how to avoid them and eventually solve the problem.Only males/Only females/ Only one remaining villagerIf you have only picked males or females at the beginning of the game, or if all of your female/male villagers have died, your game is basically over because you won't be able to have children and continue. Your remaining villagers will die of aging eventually and your game will end there. Before resetting your game, here's what you can try:At the marketplace, you can purchase 1 male 1 female and a child to save your village, if you have 200 lavastones.Wait for a special event to occur.
Sometimes a special event will bring new members to your tribe, but there's a chance they have the same gender than the rest of your village.Only childrenIf all of your adults died, you're in a tough situation because none of the remaining children will be able to work until they are 14. You can try providing food by foraging a lot of mushrooms, it will be your only way to gain food.No more foodThe coconut tree is NOT a limitless source of food and will run out of fruit eventually. One is enough to begin the game.Purchase Farming tech as soon as you can, once you've unlocked fishing, you'll have an unlimited source of food and it won't be a problem anymoreDon't forget to forage mushroom to have extra foodsDon't make too many children till you've unlocked the unlimited source of foodSome special events can occur where you will either gain food, or the coconut tree will provide fruits once more.
But the opposite can occurs as well: your food bin might end up empty, or the coconut tree can stop growing fruits.Everybody is sick:It's not the end, even if you don't have any doctor. Chose one villager and drop it on another villager until he's healed, and repeat the process until everybody is healed.Lit the fire, it will avoid sickness in the future. If your villagers have low health, drop them on the food bin: eating will restore their health. Some potions can also restore healthImproving Medicine tech can help avoid that problem in the future.Train someone to be a doctor, so that they will automatically heal the sick villagers.Diseases can be spread. Make sure everyone is healed before quitting the game.Time travel:Time travel is tempting, but if badly used, all the tribe can die instantly either of starvation, aging, or sickness. Before you timetravel, make sure you:Have an unlimited source of food, and farmers. That the fire is lit, and that you have a doctor so that your villagers don't die of sickness. If you plan to make a really long time travel, have several villagers with auto breeding on, so that they don't die of agingDeaths causes:Knowing the causes of death can help you avoiding them.If there's no more food, your villagers will die of starvation.Aging: the health of your villager will slowly decrease with age till the death of the villager. This cannot be avoided but slowed down by improving Medicine tech.Sickness: if a villager is not healed, his health bar will decrease. Virtual Villagers: Origins is a game that can be complex, so knowing the controls and how to interact with your villagers is important for a successful civilization. To make a villager move to a certain spot, just tap and hold on the villager, then drag where you’d like to place him. They will then move around on their own otherwise.
You can move around the screen independently of a villager by dragging across the screen with your finger to move around the map. This way you can explore the area without moving your villagers around haphazardly. At certain points in the game, you will be faced with an option in which you can make a choice that effects your civilization. For example, a stranger may show up that wishes to gather seeds from your island. You may lose a few supplies but you may also gain a boost from the action. Foraging is an important skill for your villagers learn, as this is how they are able to gain food supplies.
Luckily, teaching your villagers to forage is a painless process. To teach a villager to forage, drag a villager on top of a fruit bush. They will then begin harvesting from the bush until they either gather supplies or fail. It is possible for a villager to fail at foraging. When this happens, just drag the villager back on the bush to try again.
As your villager harvests over and over again, they will have less chances to fail. You can also teach your villagers to Research, which will allow them to gain tech points for their civilization. Eventually, you’ll be able to use these tech points to gain significant upgrades from the “Detail” screen. An example of an upgrade would be the medical upgrade, which decreases the frequency of disease on the island. Keep in mind that these upgrades are very expensive.
You can buy tech points outright with real money, just be careful before doing so. Building is also a skill your villagers can learn, and will allow them to build new houses for your villagers to live in. Without these huts, your villagers are unable to have families. Builders can also perform other tasks, such as cleaning wells. To make families in Virtual Villagers: Origins, you will need to make two villagers breed with one another. To do so, drag a male villager on top of a female villager.
If they are in the right mood, they will go into a hut and have a baby. Babies have distinct abilities that the adults do not have, meaning they can pick small mushrooms that will provide a rare boost for the island. The last skill your villagers can learn is healing. Healers can heal other villagers when they’re sick, so it’s definitely worthwhile to have a few skilled healers around. To train a healer, find a sick villager, and then drag another villager on top of him. The more often they heal, the better they will get at healing.Tech Points & Upgrades. Tech points are often acquired by your villagers, and can be used to purchase upgrades that your villagers can use.
